Cathay welcome Jay chou

Today i pass by at Cathay... Quite surprise to see many people outside, so i went closer to take a look. There are police around too. It must be big event... Well... I do not have time to stop by to watch so I took a snap of it. I went to Mac for a drink, it was unusual empty... Later when I went back home it was easy... Because it is normally crowded. Then The MRT and bus were quite empty. It was good. I think that lots of people went there to see... Hmm... If I am there to watch, i think I would take more picture and video.

Wes House warming

Well... Today is my buddy's house warming. Actually, I don't really like to go to such occasion because I do not know his friends. Somehow it is quite weird to go there alone. But I still done it.
In the morning, I wake up for deremon. hee.... Childish? hmm... ok... One of the story is about the pill taken will make you feel that you are doing everything for the first time, so everything is so interesting and new. As da xiong went back to the past and saw himself the first day to school. He was touched by the parents. When he back to the present time, he is change to another person, so do not need the pill to make him excited to go to school and learn. When deremon let the parents of da xiong eat. The parents suddenly change into like the first day to school and very concerned about da xiong. Sometimes when we think of the past, maybe when we are young, what is the thing that attract us? For me I think about the Chinese New Year and maybe birthday. It is good when CNY comes. I will felt excited as my grandparents prepare those food to pray to heaven. Eve came and I can felt the mood. When you are a teenager, these no longer attracts you. Something else came in, you attracted to the outside world. It is fun to go out with friends and everything is so fun. When you are an adult, you have different views. Money became the motivation. CNY and lots of things are no longer attractive to you. It seems to me that time pass very slowly when i was a child. Now time flies like nobody business.
Time to move on! hahaha... Well today I went to my buddy's hse, I had went there for the 1st time. So had some time finding it. There was a lady who was trying to find the block. I think she might be going to his house as well. In the end, I was right. We went in the same lift and of cos the same house. I had met up with few BMT pals. Most of them are gone.(lost contact) Of cos, I had entertained with some fortune telling and chat. All either working or half work and half study. His house is really very nice. I can see that he did some feng shui on it. So I ask him. He consult a master and also a designer. So his house looks a bit like condo. I didn't took picture of it. The puppy is very cute and active. 2 of my BMT friend had married and had a house. I am happy for them...
On my way back home, I saw a few lorry of bright light. So i took a picture of it. Well... It is some lion dance, i think. I saw lots of people going up one of the lorry.

Do you believe in fate?

When people say that fate is something being fixed and you can't change it. One of the interesting story one i have heard of is this.
There is a man who been with his girlfriend for 6 years but when they are about to married she ran away with another man.
In the previous life, there was a lady who died in the beach without wearing any clothing. Man A walked passed by and felt sorry for the lady and went away. Man B walked passed by and find a cloth to cover the body and went off. Man C had passed by and felt sorry for the lady and buried the body.
In this life, Man A is the lady's ex-boyfriend. Man B is the present boyfriend and when they are about to married. The lady went away with another man which is Man C.

Fate is something that is weird, whether is it real or coincidence hard to say. Here is a story. When I was in ITE, during the first few days, I had took the bus to school, on the bus there was a pretty gal. I had chance to meet her a few times. There was once which rained heavily, I had
again on the bus. It is really a good chance for me to talk to her because when we drop at the bus stop, which is quite a distance from the school. The bus-stop remains only me and that gal. I try to talk to her and offer her an umbrella. She had offer me to take cab but I rejected. So i walked alone to the school. There was a few other times we meet but I do not have enough courage to talk to her and ask for her name and number. So later that I had gave up.

Another story. There is someone which is someone which i cannot forget. We had known each other for sometimes. Then it is quite weird that we keep seeing each other by chance outside. I remember once I had saw her when I am driving outside my camp. She was wearing school uniform. Then the next time i had meet her outside MRT. I had pat her head because she didn't saw me. At the same time I met a camp mate, so she rush off and i didn't have time to chat with her. There is few times that i saw her outside. She had said that why she keep on bumping into me. I remember the last time i saw her outside a shopping center. She was with a friend. I actually wanted to talk to her but just say hi and went off but regret later. So when chance come, one has to take it. I know I had lost the chance, so the advice to others is chance is hard to come by, must treasure.

Reading my own fortune

I have heard that if you read fortune for people, your life span will be shorten and life will be bad luck. But I don't really bother by it. Because it is my interest! Well... I do read for myself and found that life for me is not that good. But so what? Well... From my palm, from this period of time there is some difficulties for me in my life. Well... It is quite true. Anyway i do not think that if you read palm for people will have life shorten or bad luck because there is some successful fortune tellers and have written books about it and make money out of it(maybe it is their fate). Whether you believe or not depends on the individuals. About palm reading, there are different source, sometimes say quite a bit of difference in reading. Whether which one is accurate, it is hard to say. There is one of the method to see whether you are a tidy person or not. I had try it and found that it is not always accurate. So I don't use that method.
The history of it is as early as 3000B.C. when Chinese began to study hand and read fortune. In India, about the same time Aryan sages developed the study of hand analysis, Hast Samudrika Shastra, as part of a larger science as interprets human nature and forecast destiny.
Ancient Chaldeans, tibetans, and Babylonians, Egyptians and Persians also study hand analysis. The ancient Greeks wee avid students of hand symbolism and hand analysis and coined the term chirosophy(meaning hand wisdom).

Hermes

Rebirth for christian?

This has raised the question: 'If belief in rebirth occurs in Judaism, why was it not carried forward into Christianity?' The Buddhist and Jewish beliefs are similar in that it is the very subtle, non-material mind which survives death. Since this is the only thing that we can take with us to the future, we need to make the best use of our present life to improve its state. The very subtle mind carries qualititative imprints rather than facts and figures, and its manifestations are intuitive. That's why the sense of deja vu - of absolute familiarity with a place or situation despite never having been there is this life - is usually experienced deeply and intuitively as qualia rather than as 'factual' remembrance. Even in life, the untrained mind is naturally uncontrolled and likely to flit from one object to another. After death this tendency is magnified in the intermediate afterlife state known as the bardo. In this condition the mind has little willpower to resist being drawn into whatever future lifeform and environment the karmic imprints from past lives predispose it to. This process is known as uncontrolled rebirth. One of the objectives of Buddhist meditation is to stabilise the mind and remove negative imprints in order to avoid the worst kind of uncontrolled rebirths (see Lamrim and Lojong practices). In the Christian tradition, there are a number of references to past lives in the New Testament. It is likely that the early church, especially the Celtic Christians, believed in gilgul. Unfortunately Celtic Christianity was suppressed by the authoritarian continental church at the Synod of Whitby in 664, which confirmed the triumph of religion over spirituality. Nevertheless, the idea of reincarnation persisted in the Celtic lands of Western Britain for many centuries after (for example in the teachings of the Irish philosopher Johannes Scotus Erigena who taught that the ultimate destiny of all minds, animal and human, is to merge into the blissful state of Enlightenment). Traces of early belief in rebirth can still be found in Celtic folklore. However, the last vestiges of belief in past and future lives were removed from Western European Christianity with the brutal extermination of the Cathars (Albigensians) in the 13th century.

The reason why the various continental churches have been so violently opposed to reincarnation is that they all derive their authority from the Roman Empire. The later Roman emperors, both Western and Byzantine, were tyrants who owned their subjects body and soul. Anyone who defied them was generally sentenced to a slow and agonising death. This earthly kingdom was extrapolated into the eternal spiritual realm by continental theologians, who imposed the memetic blackmail of the doctrine of ever-lasting hell and its torments for defiance of ecclesiastical authority. Any teachings which claimed that the individual was capable of salvation outside each particular sect were denounced as heresy. In contrast, the Celtic Church had not passed through the stage of corruption by political absolutism. Its teachings were much more authentic and in accordance with the intentions of its Founder, with no trace of sadistic authoritarianism or negative soteriology. The similarities between Buddhism and the Celtic Church are quite remarkable (See 'The Celtic Alternative - a Reminder of the Christianity We Lost' by Shirley Toulson, publ Rider, London 1992, ISBN 0-7126-1478-8.)

Since the belief in past and future lives has been expunged from Western culture, it is often difficult to achieve an understanding of the concepts involved. In the Kadampa Buddhist tradition it is said that one of the best ways of gaining realisations that the mind is not limited by one birth and one death is to meditate on its formless non-material nature. The subtle mind is experienced as a clear, unbounded, non-physical continuum - like a clear sky unobstructed by the clouds of temporary delusions.

A University professor approached Japanese Zen master Nan-in to find out about Zen. Nan-in served him tea.
Nan-in poured tea into the cup and even though the cup was full, he kept pouring.
Professor: "Master, the cup is overflowing with tea. Please do not pour anymore."
Master: "You are just like this cup, full of your own views and with your own way of thinking. If you do not empty your cup first, how am I to show you Zen?"

"Those who are full of their own opinions will be deaf to words of wisdom from others. In a discussion between 2 persons, what often happens is that each is intent on asserting his own views. As a result, apart from hearing his own voice or views, he does not learn anything else."

Fortune telling

From childhood, I been fascinated by Ghost stories, psychics, and some phenomenal stuff. Later I get to know about fortune telling. Astrology and Chinese zodiac is very common, you can find them on the newspaper and books. So I had bought a book on astrology to read. It tells you on the event of your everyday life for the whole year! Ha ha... Well... About the accuracy, I only hope for the good to come true and the bad to fail. The Zodiac usually have only tells about the every month of the year rather than everyday. As for adults, they will look for the 4D in the zodiac. After sometime, I gave up. Thinking that it is so general and just like sometimes it says about you but sometimes not. Just like luck, sometimes will get correct. After that I get to know about palmistry. So I start to read for my friends, when the place and time permits. Some how it is like a past time. Because it is interesting and most people want to know about their future.
And later on, i got to know more different types of fortune telling, but didn't went depth into it. There is reading tea leaves, reading rice, using coins, using dices, birth date and time, names, palm, tarot, poker, crystal ball, etc...
For myself, I am into palm, Ziwei, tarot and poker card and I-ching.
Recently there is a newspaper on a couple who has a sick child and decide to find help from a Feng shui master. The master ask them to moved to a house, when they moved in, within few days the child died. The parents were very angry and wanted to sue the master. But under the Law, it is not possible because it is not scientific and logic. Later they went to consult other 3 feng shui master, they say that the house is a bad house, that will affect the health of living. If it is me, I would rather try to find doctor than a feng shui master even if i believe in fortune telling and stuff. And another case, there is a lady who do business and open a few shops. Once her friend had advice her to consult a master. The master ask her to change name, later she got a new shop and everything went down. She got into debts and bankrupt. So even the master can be faked or inexperience to be consult. Sometimes it is better to believe in yourself. Unless you can find the "real" master.

Handphone lost

Thanks to the world of internet that allow me to share something here. Sometimes u really hope to pick a expensive phone or some phone that you really want to buy. So can save money just pick up and keep the phone. When somebody calls back just off it... Well it is easy to do that. But to think again. What if that person which most of us are doing having all of our contact only keep in the SIM card. Without any back up to save it somewhere. Even with the technology like some SIM card memory thing, most of us will be lazy to even buy 1. And take the time to transfer it for storage. So when we lost a phone, we are lost. Lost of all the contact as well.
Recently, I went on a bus, and happen to pick a phone on the seat. I think twice... hmm.... should I keep or return. Well... I waited for that person to call me and see how. So tat person called me up from home. I had answered and agree for meet up and return back the phone. She had sound relieved. Without thinking of getting any return from her. I went for meet up. I thought that most people would do is to take back the phone and say "thank you." But didn't expect that she had give me a red packet. I just took it without thought and went off. She had went off to pick her child. It was a $10 inside. Wow... I m quite surprise... Think that was my lucky day.
